143 to leave Skanska Stomsystem
143 staff members at Skanska Stomsystem, manufacturer of steel and concrete frameworks, are being made redundant.
The employees affected are posted all over Sweden. Half of them are employed at Skanska in Bollebygd, Västergötland reports the local news station Sveriges Radio P4 Sjuhärad. According to Expressen, the factory in Bollebygd will be shut down completely. The focus will instead be on the factory in Strängnäs, Mälardalen. The staff has been informed about the news and negotiations are being commenced. Some staff members will be offered jobs in Mid-Sweden, reports Expressen, but there are also possiblities for repositions within other sections of Skanska.
Skanska Stomsystem AB has been making losses for the last three years, according to P4 Sjuhärad.
