Electric car and solar panel technology receive Climate Solver award
This year’s climate entrepreneurs have developed an ultra light three-wheeled eletric vehicle, a solar panel converter and a service for solar and geothermal energy.
On November 4 WWF announced the Climate Solver awards to innovations that can radically reduce the greenhouse gas emissions. According to WWF all three climate innovations are important contributions to the transition toward an energy system based on 100 percent sustainable and renewable energy. One of the contributions to the Climate Solver list is Zbee, an ultra light an crash-proof electric vehicle developed by Clean Motion AB from Lerum. The smart three-wheeler is rated as a EU moped, carries three persons and approximately 10 kg of luggage.
The second contribution is a converter for solar cells that gives an increased electricity production. The technology, which is developed by Optistring Technologies AB, converts direct current from the solar cell panels to alternating current. Through intelligent software the solar cell panels can be used more efficiently.
The third climate solver is a service from Eneo Solutions AB which delivers solar power and geothermal energy. The company provides the investment, installation and maintenance of solar panels and geothermal energy with the user. The customer only pays for the used energy.
The Climate Solver award has been handed out by WWF since 2008.
