Greenest cars of 2014 elected
Ford Focus Flexifuel got top points in Swedish Association of Green Motorists rating where five different jury groups were involved.
“There have never been so many great green cars with so many different and exciting technologies. But in the end, Ford Focus Flexifuel got the most points and the title as the Greenest Car of 2014. A sensible choice that fits everyone, but with a fuel that already exists on two thousand gas stations,” says Mattias Goldmann from the Green Motorists.
Ford Focus Flexifuel is also the Senior Citizens’ choice, while the Environmental Managers favoured Opel Ampera and Motor Journalists chose VW Golf Ecofuel. Childrens’ families gave their 10 points to Audi A4 Quattro Flexifuel and the People’s Choice landed on Toyota Prius Plug-in.
Part of the criteria for the Greenest Car 2014 is that the vehicles meet up to the 2013 green car definition by the Swedish government.
