Mongolia interested in Danish energy solutions
The Mongolian government looks to Danish energy solutions to update the country’s out-dated energy sector.
Dorjpurev Dulamsuren, Mongolia’s Deputy Energy Minister, recently made a visit to Denmark together with a delegation from the country’s Department of Energy. The purpose was to study various Danish energy solutions, reported Invest in Denmark. The country already has initiated a number of collaborations with Danish district heat companies. Sales Director Martin Petersen at ABB, states that the firm, in cooperation with Danish subcontractors, takes part in two projects in Mongolia with a total value of over DKK 150 million.
Another sector with Danish-Mongolian development, according to the Danish magazine Vaekst, is the wind industry. Vestas, for example, has previously had activities in Mongolia and is now open for further business in the country with the possible establishment of wind farms.
