Swedish innovations shown for Obama at KTH
During Barack Obamas visit in Stockholm on Wednesday, the President made a pit stop at the Royal Institute of Technology, KTH, to get insight into some Swedish innovations.
Obama toured an energy expo at KTH together with Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt and IT and Energy Minister Anna-Karin Hatt. During the 25 minute Obama got presentations different companies. One of them was Solvatten who showed their water filtration devices. Obama also met with a trio of KTH professors who were working on fuel cell technology for vehicles and PowerTrekk a hydro-driven mobile charger from Swedish myFC. The visit was rounded up by a meeting with the Volvo Group to discuss its plans for hybrid plug-in mass transit systems, such as for city buses. Volvo is planning to launch the “fully electric and emissions free” buses in 2015.
