New business area – Built Environment
Chalmers Professional Education is now launching a new business area where open courses and in-house programs are offered to clients in the construction sector.
Chalmers University of Technology has leading expertise in the areas of civil and environmental engineering and urban and traffic planning where different departments conduct research on an international high-level. Parceled in a number of open courses, Chalmers Professional Education can now offer new knowledge and training in areas such as construction management, visualization, urban and traffic planning and energy efficiency of buildings.
“Our open courses act as venues for interaction among actors in the construction process, where they can learn from each other and develop. Our aim is to provide real value in practice for our clients. Our courses are therefore action oriented to encourage participants to apply their new knowledge immediately,” says Karin Johansson, Head of Chalmers Professional Education’s newest business area.
Our open courses and programs involve lecturers and researchers from Chalmers and other national and international universities, but also subject matter experts from prominent consulting and construction firms. The courses are held worldwide, at leading companies and universities or wherever our clients prefer.
In addition to our open courses in civil and environmental engineering and urban and traffic planning, we also offer our expertise in tailoring in-company programs as well as unique programs for groups of cooperating companies. Tailored programs are typically based on current key business challenges of our clients, such as the need for enhanced cross-organizational and cross-functional cooperation in large and complex projects, or the need to strengthen the skills and knowledge of specific groups of employees.
